This pumpkin pie smoothie tastes like autumn in a cup, and it takes only a few minutes to make. Frozen banana gives it a thick, creamy texture. Canned pumpkin adds the flavor. And pumpkin pie spice pulls it all together. No cooking required!

Ingredients

  • 1 small banana, sliced and frozen
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (adjust to taste)

Allergy notes: Contains dairy. May contain tree nuts depending on milk choice.

Substitutions:

  • Dairy-free? Use oat milk, almond milk, or coconut milk.
  • No frozen banana? Use a fresh banana and add 3-4 ice cubes for thickness.
  • No pumpkin pie spice? Mix a pinch each of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  • No maple syrup? Use honey or a teaspoon of brown sugar.

Steps

  1. Combine all ingredients. Add the frozen banana slices, milk, canned pumpkin, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth. Blend on high until creamy and completely smooth, about 30 to 60 seconds.
  3. Pour and serve. Pour into a glass. Sprinkle a pinch of extra cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice on top if you want.

Grownup help needed: Operating the blender for younger kids.
