Scoop, shape, and decorate this adorable polar bear dessert using vanilla ice cream, marshmallows, and a few simple toppings. It takes just minutes to assemble and looks impressive enough to make every kid at the table smile.

Ingredients

  • 1 large scoop of vanilla ice cream
  • 5 marshmallows (2 for ears, 2 for paws, 1 for snout)
  • 1 mini chocolate cookie or chocolate button (for the nose)
  • 2 candy eyes or 2 chocolate chips (for eyes)
  • 4-6 slivered almonds (for claws)
  • Shredded coconut (for fur)

Allergy notes: Contains dairy and tree nuts (almonds). May contain wheat (cookie).

Substitutions:

  • Dairy-free? Use coconut or oat milk ice cream.
  • No almonds? Skip the claws or use small pretzel pieces.
  • No marshmallows? Shape extra scoops of ice cream for ears and paws.

Steps

  1. Scoop the body. Place a large, round scoop of vanilla ice cream in the center of a plate.
  2. Add the ears and paws. Press two marshmallows into the top of the scoop for ears. Place two marshmallows at the bottom for paws.
  3. Make the face. Press one marshmallow onto the front for the snout. Add a mini chocolate cookie on top of it for the nose. Press two candy eyes or chocolate chips above the snout.
  4. Add claws. Push slivered almonds into the paw marshmallows.
  5. Finish with fur. Sprinkle shredded coconut over the entire polar bear.
  6. Serve quickly. Ice cream waits for no one!
