What to Do
How to Make the Cards
- Print or draw. Make two copies of each animal picture. Use a printable template or draw your own. Aim for 10-15 different animals.
- Mount on cardboard. Glue each picture onto a piece of cereal box cardboard. Let dry, then cut into cards.
- Laminate (optional). Cover each card with clear contact paper for durability.
How to Play Charades
- Shuffle the cards and place them face-down in a pile.
- Pick a card. One player draws a card and looks at it without showing anyone.
- Act it out. That player acts out the animal using only body movements. No sounds allowed. Walk like it, eat like it, move like it.
- Guess. Other players call out guesses. Whoever guesses correctly goes next.
How to Play the Matching Game
- Shuffle both sets of cards together and lay them all face-down in rows.
- Flip two. Players take turns flipping two cards at a time, trying to find matching animal pairs.
- Keep matches. If you find a pair, keep them and go again. If not, flip both back over.
- Most pairs wins.
