Nature Name Craft: Spell Your Name with Leaves, Twigs, and Other Natural Objects

Turn your name into a work of art with some treasures from nature.

Materials

• cardboard or poster board
• craft glue
• tape
• string
• twigs, leaves, bark, acorn caps, seedpods, small pebbles, or other natural objects

Tools

• pencil
• scissors

Steps

1. Go on a nature hunt: Head outside for a nature walk and gather some items you find on the ground. (See list above.)
2. Spell Your name: With a pencil, write your name lightly on a piece of cardboard or poster board. Arrange the objects you collected on the letters, then glue in place.
3. Add a hanger: Once the glue has dried, cut a piece of string about 10 inches long. Tape a loop of this string to the back of the cardboard.
4. Show off your art: Hang your sign in a place where you can admire it!
