Materials
- cardboard or poster board
- craft glue
- tape
- string
- twigs, leaves, bark, acorn caps, seedpods, small pebbles, or other natural objects
Tools
- pencil
- scissors
Steps
- Go on a nature hunt: Head outside for a nature walk and gather some items you find on the ground. (See list above.)
- Spell Your name: With a pencil, write your name lightly on a piece of cardboard or poster board. Arrange the objects you collected on the letters, then glue in place.
- Add a hanger: Once the glue has dried, cut a piece of string about 10 inches long. Tape a loop of this string to the back of the cardboard.
- Show off your art: Hang your sign in a place where you can admire it!

Can you find a different natural object for every letter in your name? Try using leaves, bark, seeds, grasses, flowers, pine needles, or tiny pebbles to make each letter unique!
