
Recycle jar lids to make a colorful school of fish.
Materials
- Jar lids
- Googly eyes
- Craft glue
- Construction paper
- String
- Beads, stickers, sequins, plastic gems (optional)
Tools
- Tape
- Scissors
- Markers or paint
Steps
- Gather your supplies. Collect and clean jar lids
- Trace the fish body. Trace around the jar lid on a piece of construction paper to draw the fish body.
- Cut it out. Cut out the fish body.
- Make the fish parts. Cut out basic shapes to make the fish’s tail, fins, and mouth.
- Add color and personality. Decorate the fish. You can use cut paper, markers, paint, googly eyes, and even stickers, beads, or gems to decorate the fish.
- Attach the parts. Glue the fish’s fins, tail and mouth to the body.
- Add the hanger. Tape a string to the inside of the jar lid.
- Hang it up. Glue the fish onto the top of the jar lid. When it’s dry, use the string to hang your fish in a window.
